Our Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and infallible Word of God. It is the final authority in all matters of faith, practice and life. (II Timothy 3:15-17, II Peter 1:20-21, I Peter 1:23-25)

We believe in the One True and Living God; eternally existing in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The three persons in the Godhead are equal in all respects. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10-11, John 10:30, Matthew 28:19, II Corinthians 13:14)

We believe in the deity, virgin birth, and the sinless humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 1:1, Matthew 1:18-25, Philipians 2:6-8, I John 3:5, I John 4:2-3)

We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sin as a once for all sacrifice, that He rose again bodily on the third day, and that He ascended to heaven. (Romans 5:8, I Corinthians 15:3-4, Hebrews 9:27-28, I Peter 2:24, I Peter 3:18, Acts 1:9-11)

We believe that Christ will come again to the air to receive all those who have believed in Him so that they will be with Him forever, where He is. (John 14:1-3, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). Following a time of judgment on the earth Christ will return to set up His Kingdom. (II Thessalonians 1:7-10; Revelation 20:11-15, Revelation 21:1)

We believe God created man in His own image, but through man's willful choice to disobey God, sin and death came into the world. For this reason all are born in sin, separated from God, corrupt in nature, guilty before God and need to repent. (Genesis 1:26, Genesis 3:1-7, Romans 3:12, Romans 5:12, Romans 6:23, II Peter 3:9). We believe in the conscious eternal punishment of the lost. (John 5:28-29)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to receive salvation from sin, deliverance from hell, and assurance of heaven. We believe that only faith in Christ, apart from any human merit, does one receive eternal life by being born into the family of God. (John 1:12, John 3:3, John 3:14-16, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10)

We believe in baptism by immersion as an act of obedience towards God and as a visible sign of one's faith in Christ. We believe that baptism follows salvation. (Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, I Peter 3:21)

We believe that all believers are called to meet together with other Christians in a local church for Bible teaching, for fellowship with one another, for the regular observance of the Lord's Supper, and for united prayer. (Acts 2:41-47, Hebrews 10:25)

We believe that Christ has commanded us to go into the entire world, preaching and teaching His Word, and making disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:18-20)

We believe that the Bible teaches that elders are to lead and shepherd each local church. (Acts 20:28, I Peter 5:1-4) As an extension ministry of a number of local churches in Manitoba, Faith Bible Camp is under authority of its member church elders in spiritual matters.

We believe our primary goal at FBC is reaching girls and boys, young people and adults with the message of the gospel and leading those who have received Christ as Saviour into the knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ whom He sent. (John 17:3) To successfully achieve these purposes we believe requires that all activities at camp be conducted with courteous decency and considerate order. (I Corinthians 14:40)
